Michalis Roumbis was born in Athens in 1986 and began his professional career in directing in 2005. Initially, he created travel and cooking television shows, but he soon decided to focus on documentaries, as he is captivated by telling stories with realism and emotion. Among his works are “Refugees 1922: Life After” and “1821: On Freedom.”

In recent years, since 2022, he has expanded his activities into fiction, working on series such as “Mavro Rodo,” “Navagio,” and “To Spiti Dipla Sto Potami.”

He has a deep passion for the filming process, as it allows him to bring to life images and scenes that he first imagines. For him, every project is an opportunity to showcase the beauty of natural light and landscapes, bringing realism and authenticity to his stories.
