Vassilis Tsiairis

Tech/Rec instructor (PADI, SSI, CMAS)

Vassilis grew up on the island of Corfu and was attracted to the underwater world from an early age. For that reason, he chose to follow a profession that would allow him to work at sea. So he decided to study marine sciences. As a first-year student at university in the UK, he joined the sub-aqua club and soon became experienced in organizing drives and in scientific diving. Later on, he specialized in underwater archaeology and worked in that sector.

Vassilis has followed courses by various diving organizations (BSAC, SAA, CMAS, SSI, IANTD, and PADI) and in 2000 he became a Padi instructor. Since then, he worked for a number of dive centers both in Greece (Athens, Santorini, Crete, Corfu) and abroad (Red sea, Qatar, Britain). At the same time, he worked as a maritime archaeologist and a photographer.

Diving is his sole occupation.
